Found!

A lazy afternoon on Saturday gave me an opportunity to catch up on some scrapping in an attempt to find my MOJO...

Looking through all my pps, I found some that I bought during my very 1st TVC OH last Oct! hehe... I've never got a chance to really use it as all the wonderful scrapping materials were released fast and furious!

p/s I must add that this picture was not taken with MY camera... so it's not my camera's fault that the actual photo looks grainy!

mid week lunch date with Cousin J brought me happy surprises!

Can you believe that I went to Haji Lane 3-4 times but each time the shop "Salad" is always closed! I was elated when I found it open and I walked in with a beaming smile. oh my gosh, such pretty things they have, although a bit pricey it was great finds nonetheless especially for people who are looking for unusual one-off knick knacks to decorate their humble abodes or even great house-warming gifts!! And I found this...
a nice electric blue n black striped elastic belt that matched my outfit on that day! I wore it straight away! How often can you do that? anyway really happy with my find as I've been looking for a nice elastic belt without being too retro or funky that was understated and matches with most of my work clothes as well!


oh yeah! sunday today.. (see i suffer from scatter brain syndrome) Off to Pauline's to get my nails fixed in the arvo! my poor little last toe broke (near the nail bed!) and it's just hanging onto 1/4 of the nail. Msged her on Fri nite to ask for rescue!!! I can't help but keep fiddling with it making sure that it does not break any further! ooo... what picture to draw this time??? erm... maybe I should choose a colour to match the fiery red dress I bought for my cousin's wedding next sun! oh Yes! Must remember to bring the LO that I made, hope she likes it! :D

Kinda lost my scrapping Mojo with this LO and the next one and didn't really want to think much so I just stuck with the similar colour combi.

Kor started runing for marathons the past couple of years! This was taken when UOB had it's 1st charity run 2 sundays ago --> Heart Run for the Very Special Association (VSA) and the Children's Society. The picture was taken with lots of backlight.. I can't control where he has to stand to start his run rite???

At 4 years old, kids pronounciation is of course not accurate, so sometimes, they will call me Ms Khoo (the pretty lady next to me in the pic). A wonderful teacher at AK, who taught my elder nephew and now teaching the younger one as well... and also E, the kids enjoy her lessons alot! Thanx Felicia for being a kind and caring teacher to my most active nephews!

Round 2.. with better pics !


I am really bad at this uploading and scanning thing! I can only scan an a4 size image and this is prob the best I can do.. I think it's pretty bad! i just hope that you can all see it clearly.. I took almost the whole evening finally connecting the scanner to the computer and realising that it can only scan an a4 size image! Argghh.. I think taking a photo is so much better! I want my camera now... however lousy the pictures turn out! at least I get the full LO!!! I think i really do injustice to the LOs! especially my grandparents one! I promise once I get my camera I will take better pic and upload it and delete these awful pictures... if anyone out there can tell me how i can scan the pictures better please let me know! Thanx!

This is a pic of the wonderful gal that always does pretty nail art for me... it's just amazing how she uses a tiny paint brush and acrylic paint and beautiful pictures of flowers and butterflies are on my nails! thanx so much pauline!

I did 4.. YES!!! you heard me 4 LOs today! This is the 1st time since I've started scrapbooking that I've done so many in a day! The last time was 3... and today 4! Wow.. but sadly I've not camera to take pics ;(

Had a crop today at SR... and I say this road name with much fondness! it's a haven in it's own way! wahaha... I think I mentioned this before, crops are always good! and today's crop really keep me going even when I reached home. Thanx L for the 'be good' stamp! hehe... such a perfect word for me.. I'm always told that I must be good! kekeke...

why I communicate...

.... because I want to rant and rave! Usually it's the former... According to an SLT workshop I attended yesterday, we communicate to satisfy our social needs - share feelings, ideas, and experiences.. and indeed I want to share an experience I had this morning on my way to work...

There's this uncle, really an uncle, who attempts to be hip :D I do not fault him on that, but he wears Tee-shirts way too tight for him! OMG.. his tummy was wrapped in his bright orange tee! Very cute I must admit.. anyway to continue witht he description of this cute uncle.. I guess his age's around late 30s or early 40s.. he had more earrings than I have! He carries the kind of bag that has the hard cover. Well, today he has his headphones on as he boarded the bus. The moment he got onto the bus one could hear his music blarring away! I had the 'fortune' to stand next to him.. but as I was listening to my Ipod of jazz, Black-eye Peas, Korean theme songs... I could even hear the music 'coming' out of his headset!! That was not the frightening part.. that his music was played so loudly, but it was his selection of music.. OMG he was listening Retro (still????) and I thought i heard "mmmbop" by the Hanson brothers! OMG that was when I was in sec sch okie? and I no longer listen to these boy band kinds of music!!! oh gosh!! I was so glad he got off the bus! I really pity the next lady whom he chose to sit beside!!! She was this prim and proper lady with no hair out of place kind, reading a nice little book on the way to work! I hope she has a better day at work!

I have to admit now that my job requires me to travel so much... my observations of life is seriously a eye-opening (somethings popping) experience!

Okie, so this post is an rant... soon I'll have raves of all the lovely DIY pressie my frens have made for me.. and of their own little projects!

Woohoo.. TGIF.. going to print pics today, have some LOs in mind! Can't wait to get started on them!!

{ Instructions }

Mom has loads of fabric. She loves to sew and has this old Singer sewing machine in my room, you know the kind with a paddle. Sadly I have bad co-ordination and I can't use the machine! I wanna sew! Please someone out there lend me yours! Hehe... Mom will just complain and say 'It's so easy to use my sewing machine, why can't you use it???"

Well, I remembered when I was young, she would bring me to Holland V to buy fabric from this shop. Interestingly, the shop sold fabric with ready cut out of templates of dresses for little girls with matching dolls, together with instructions! Digging through her plastic bag of cloth yesterday was a time of memerising of the old times!

I found this fabric that still had the instructions of making a dress! Mom was half way done with the dress and only the top was made! Anyway, I found it and I thought I'll make a fabric flower with it! Really like how it turned out! :D

Did some stitching to make the petals look lifelike!

To sir with love

Did this LO for my mom's ex-boss. His birthday was yesterday.

Mom calls him SIR for the longest time. He has seen my brothers and I grow up and he's such a divine man! Every new year, we will be at his house on the mornings of the 2nd day without fail, sipping on his great collection of wines and my brothers will be eating his famous roasted beef!

Really like how I managed to blend in the JBS stalk with the flowers! Hehe... this 'ku-ku' very clever! hehe.. Just love the new 7G pps and stickers! Can't wait to do more :D

slow and steady

Started at 9pm today and finally ended at 11pm! Wow! 2 hours for this LO to be done!

Title: What makes me Happy

The journalling's bit small so here it is:

1. Flowers! of any kind
2. Yummy cake in pretty colours
3. Good old comfort food: ice cream (Ben n Jerry's in this case!)
4. Bag and more Bags
5. Shoes of rainbow colours (think I meant many shoes all in different hues!)

Since there are 5 pictures, I tried to the kind of LO that was centralised! Thought too many embellishing was too distracting so it took me a long time to decide what to put and where to put! Hence the 2 hours! :P oh.. of course it does not help if you are scrapping in front of the TV!

Just love the fontwerks pp, chandelier pattern n the journalling cards! :D

Day of many events!

15 days of CNY is offically over. No more collecting of angbaos allowed! No more Yu Sheng to toss! Yet there's still lots of CNY goodies left at my place to nibble on!

Anyway, I'm not sure if many people know this but the 15th day of CNY is also known as Chinese Valentine's Day! So double event / meaning! It also concides with my B toDAY! Hehe :D It has happened before a few years back when the last day of CNY happens to be Bday too! Thanx for all the well-wishes from my beloved family & friends, great flowers, food and lovely presents from friends - I love them all!

Well, how can i resist a cake right? This one's from Canele and it's rich dark chocolate! YUM! :D There's extra so anyone who would like to try give me a ting-a-ling soon before they're all gone! more events happened to my family... which means opening of new chapters in life! A good year ahead perhaps?

Transformer!

GG 5 is having a sale! While I like their clothes a fair bit, I think it's too pricey and sale times are always great! Who complains when it's saleS?? well, only about the long queues to try the clothes and to pay! Anyway, this time round, I did not get any clothes but I bought a nice black bag that I thought is good to use for work! Had a hard time contemplating whether to get it or not as my job requires me to carry case files wherever I go a major pre-requisite for my bags currently is that they must be able to carry files! hehe.. I think this did the job (luckily I had my files with me so I tried it on! Somehow I am very bad at judging whether the bags are big enough for files!)
Anyway, I thought it was too plain and I decided to jazz it up a bit with a old string of pearls and the fabric flower that I did recently! hehe.. Think it doesn't look so boring anymore! Best part, I can change the pearls or flowers anytime I want! :D so happy!

Look what I did with Sassafrass Lass pp! It's so pretty! Decided that I should do a little birthday card for my cute adorable niece who praises this "ku-ku" of hers to be clever! :D Happy birthday Pumpkins! Hehe how i wish you came out of your mummy's tummy 1 day earlier so we can celebrate our birthdays on the same day!
